If there's one thing I love and
sometimes hate at the same time, is being lost or feeling lost. It can cause so
much confusion, not just in your own life but in the lives of your family and
friends as well.
One thing I'm definitely sure of
is, where there's confusion a decision has to be made. Now you ask
yourself "how do I make a decision? What if I make the wrong
decision?"
I've been here too many times. At a
very young age I've had so many questions running through my head. That's when
I started reading. I needed answers and I needed them now. The more I read, I
discovered no matter what type of book you read, there's always something to
learn.
Discovering this, I actually learnt how
to get rid of all confusion in my head and in my life.
I came across book called Alice in
Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll, and she writes “One day Alice
came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. ‘Which road do I
take?’ she asked. ‘Where do you want to go?’ was his response. ‘I don’t know,’
Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it doesn’t matter.”
How absolutely powerful and true is
this?
The point is, if you don't know where
you're going, then it doesn't matter. It means your business, your family and
even you will stay exactly where you are right now. When you get to a fork in
the road, when confusion hits, you won't know what to do.
This is why I love reading. I don't
have to always rely on my own thoughts(which can lead me astray) and ideas. You
might just find someone else's ideas very helpful. Isn't this the reason we
write, read and can then make structured decision that will in turn benefit
us?
Don't ever let confusion overtake
you.
Read as much as you can and don't let
anyone tell you, reading is dumb. It takes you to places you've never been
before. It stirs feeling inside you and it makes choosing so much easier.
